Improve your tango skills, one song at a time
If you're looking to improve your tango, practicing at home by yourself can make a big difference. Here’s a simple plan to inspire your practice 💫
1. Stretch Before Practicing
Always start with stretching your body. This prepares you for dancing and helps prevent any pain. Spend a few minutes on this to get your muscles ready for dancing!
2. Stick to the Same Song for 2-3 Days
If you dance to a tango song and stick with it for a couple of days, you’ll notice that as you become more familiar with the song, your dancing will naturally start to align more closely with its subtleties.
3. Focus on Rhythm and Melody
Practice the same song twice: first, focus on moving with the rhythm, then practice again, this time focusing on the melody. This will help you understand the music deeply in an intuitive way.
4. Stretch and Rest After Practice
Finish your practice by stretching again to help your muscles relax. If you can, lie down on the floor for a few minutes to rest your back.
This type of routine can help you improve your technique and also deepen your connection with the music, making your tango more expressive and enjoyable.
Happy dancing! 🎶
